Saving Common Area Electricity:

>>  Use Minimum required common area lighting (Including in Gym & TT / Pool Room)

>>  Switch Off treadmill immediately after use, Switch On immediately before use. Treadmill is good for health, but walking and using stairs gives better health benefits while saving on electicity

>>  Switch Off Lift Fan when not in Use. If you are fit, become fitter by taking the Stairs instead of Lift. Taking Stairs on the down trip is actually faster than waiting for the lift.

>>  Object to children unnecessarily pressing lift buttons. If you see another resident coming, hold the lift for him/her.

Saving on Diesel and Generator Maintenance:     

>>  Generator Runs on Costly and Polluting Diesel:  Switch Off lights/fans in your home that you can manage without especially when powered by generator.

Saving on Water:

>>  If you notice any leaks (even drops), immediately close lower valves and call for maintenance.

>>  If you are leaving house for more than a day close all lower valves. This is even more important for unoccupied houses. Do same for baths/basins you dont normally use.

>>  Leaks thro Western Commodes (WC) are very common due to collection of Sand in the Flush. Get WC flush cleaned regularly by the Plumber available to the association.

>>  Dont let cold water run into drain while for waiting for hot water from solar heater. Instead fill some buckets and use for Washing or In place of Flush.

Let us also teach our children these good habits and not forget to point out to each other, to make implementation comprehensive.
